Architecture / 001
More Than a House.
A World Within.
A living architectural experience designed around space, light, nature and the moments between them.
01 / Architecture
Designed from
the outside in.
A cantilevered volume of cedar and concrete, anchored by a hand-laid stone hearth and crowned with a garden and a warm stone spa. Every room faces the valley; none faces another.

Three gestures
- i
Anchor
A dry-laid stone hearth roots the house to the rock it stands on.
- ii
Lift
The upper floor reaches past its base, out toward the view.
- iii
Crown
A garden on the roof returns the ground the house occupies.
See everything.
Hide nothing.
Hover the layers. Every part is drawn, named and placed.
02 / Spaces

One continuous view.

Philosophy
Light on the land.
Built to outlast us.
- Sun
Cedar louvres shade the summer sun and let the low winter sun reach the floor.
- Air
Warm air rises through the stair to the skylight; the house cools itself.
- Matter
Stone from the site, timber from managed forests, no finish that needs repainting.
- Ground
The roof garden replaces the meadow the house was built on.
04 / Experience
When architecture
becomes atmosphere.
- First light through the cedar
- Water, stone and shade
- The hearth, the fire pit, the long table
- The house becomes a lantern
NEST
A smaller footprint.
A bigger way to live.
